YAMAHA RECOMMENDS INSTALLING NEW FRICTION PLATES AND STEEL PLATES. This kit requires a total of: 13 friction plates (5YU-16321-00-00) and 12 steel plates (2H7-16325-00-00), 

25.4% increase over manual clutch; 32.8% increase over Sport Shift (SS model) clutch

Has the correct stack height and preload to be used in both manual and Sport Shift models
